MISSION STATEMENT
Austin Street Centre exists to provide emergency shelter and related services to the homeless person in a compassionate faith-based community, and to provide "whole person" therapeutic programs so that the person in need might be better able to make responsible choices, positive changes and have economic self-sufficiency.
Austin Street Centre has become nationally recognized for its unique therapeutic program for the homeless. Not only does the Centre offer safe, clean shelter and an evening meal for 400 men, women and children each night, but it provides substance abuse treatment, medical and psychiatric care, adult rehabilitation, a transitional living facility for clients who qualify, and a beautiful interdenominational Chapel.
As many of you are aware, Reverend Bubba and Harry Dailey retired earlier this year. After an intensive search and selection process, Keith Price has been named Austin Street’s new Executive Director. Keith is a compassionate collaborator who is committed to caring for those who find themselves homeless. Using his successful background in business, fund raising, and three years of working with the homeless at The Stew Pot, Keith brings a wealth of experience to Austin Street Centre.
